When I was an undergrad, I thought "business" was a four-letter-word. If you had asked me where I was headed, it would have involved, first-and-foremost, making a difference in the world... in something related to science? And maybe computers? And maybe in an international setting?Through my work at CAS, I've been able to see that "business" isn't the dirty word I once thought it was. It offers a powerful mindset, framework and set of tools that can be used to make a positive impact in the world.This collaboration is the latest example in my journey to use "business" to fulfill the ACS mission of improving all people’s lives through the transforming power of chemistry. Very excited to share the news that Jeremy Ellison, MBA, PMP has joined Riverview International Center as its new Executive Director. The RIC has had a long journey to get to the point of being able to hire its first full-time ED. We would not be at this critical point in the organization's development without the tireless hard work of Diane Linton and Emelia Sheeley the organization's dedicated and passionate Interim ED and Director of Programs, who have driven meaningful programming for the Riverview Drive neighborhood that has made an impact on the lives of our neighbors and has drawn the attention of partners and funders.
